Lions, Chargers Discussing Cromartie Trade
The Lions have begun discussions with the Chargers about acquiring cornerback Antonio Cromartie, a league source told NFL.com on Sunday.
The Chargers have been shopping Cromartie, but there had been little interest until the Lions reached out.
"It may be time to move on," Cromartie said recently.
"I have complained to the coaches about certain stuff, about the way we play, and they know that. But if it's time to part ways and that's in the Lord's will, then that's what's got to happen. But I would love to continue to finish out either my contract or my career in San Diego."
Cardinals Say Boldin Could Be Dealt
The Cardinals are open to trading wide receiver Anquan Boldin this offseason.
"Our approach with Anquan is really the same as what it was last year: We're going to consider all our options," general manager Rod Graves said.
"... We'll go through what the options are throughout the offseason, and make the decision that's best for our team."
Boldin has clashed with team officials in the past over his contract and the Cardinals previously have indicated a willingness to listen to trade offers for him.
"We're going to look at all the options regarding Anquan and regarding all our players," coach Ken Whisenhunt said.
Browns Could Trade Up For Bradford
The Browns haven't ruled out trading up to draft Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford.
Cleveland has the seventh overall pick and there have been rumors that St. Louis could take him first overall.
"I don't think we're closing the door on anything," general manager Tom Heckert said. "We're not shutting the door on moving up or even moving back. We're listening to a lot of different teams. It's still early. We have talked to teams about moving up and moving back. We're not closing the door on any position."
Jackson: Rams Should Trade No. 1 Pick
Rams running back Steven Jackson believes that the team should trade the first overall pick in this year's NFL Draft.
"If we don't feel someone is hands-down the number-one pick, I think we should trade down, try to get an extra second-rounder, an extra second- or third-round pick, 'cause we have so many things that we can use as an organization," Jackson said Friday on ESPN's "First Take."
St. Louis general manager Billy Devaney hasn't yet decided what to do with the selection.
Lions Could Deal No. 2 Pick, Chase LT
The Lions are considering a number of different moves in the wake of 30 losses in the past two seasons.
Detroit could trade the No. 2 pick and even chase recently-released running back LaDainian Tomlinson.
"We're open to just about everything," Detroit coach Jim Schwartz said Thursday.
"Whether you keep the second pick or whether you trade down, it doesn't change what you have to do -- that's make good decisions in the draft. There are blue-chip players available a lot of different spots in the draft."
Cromartie: 'It May Be Time To Move On'
Amid trade rumors, Chargers cornerback Antonio Cromartie says that it may be time for him to move on.
He told SIRIUS NFL Radio hosts Bryan McGovern and Jim Miller that he wasn't thrilled with the way that San Diego plays defense and it could be time for a change.
"It may be time to move on," Cromartie said.
"I have complained to the coaches about certain stuff, about the way we play, and they know that. But if it's time to part ways and that's in the Lord's will, then that's what's got to happen. But I would love to continue to finish out either my contract or my career in San Diego."
Asomugha To Jets Mentioned Again?
Raiders cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha started a lot of controversy when he suggested that he wanted to play alongside Darrelle Revis in New York earlier this offseason.
He later clarified that he was just joking, but the thought has lingered.
NFL Insider Adam Schefter is reporting that the Raiders are looking to swing a trade this offseason, and Asomugha is among those that the team is open to trading.
Are Chargers, Titans Potential Trade Partners?
There have been some whispers that the Chargers and Titans could be potential trade partners this offseason.
San Diego is looking for a running back and has been dangling cornerback Antonio Cromartie.
ESPN suggests that the Chargers could deal Cromartie to Tennessee for LenDale White, who has become expendable with the emergence of Chris Johnson.
Buccaneers Could Trade Up In Draft
Buccaneers general manager Mark Dominik hinted earlier this week that the team could look to move up in April's NFL Draft.
Tampa Bay holds the third overall pick.
Speaking to Steve Duemig, of 620 WDAE-AM, Dominik confidently spoke of his readiness to trade up to meet the team's needs.
"We have the ability to go either direction," Dominik said. "We'll prepare to go either direction, which is a good option for Tampa Bay."
Sources: Vick Will Remain In Philly Through Preseason
The Eagles haven't initiated trade talks involving quarterback Michael Vick, but that doesn't mean they won't at some point.
Philadelphia has until March 5 to deal Vick without having to pay him a $1.5 million roster bonus.
League sources told NFL.com that a move before the March 5 deadline is unlikely because negotiations haven't begun.
Sources from two teams who would be in the market for a quarterback said they don't expect Vick to be dealt until the preseason.
